Top Companies: Law
Going on 37 years, the ColoradoBiz Top Company Awards are older than some of the founders whose businesses are now vying for the award.
It’s a distinction that hasn’t gotten any easier to win since the Top Company program was introduced in 1987 – nor any easier to judge.
In the end, 45 companies hailing from 18 Colorado cities were honored as either winners or finalists in 14 industries, plus the Startup category for companies five years old or less.
All the companies that put themselves out there and entered the competitive arena deserve credit for helping to keep Top Company the coveted honor it’s been for decades.
WINNER Griffiths Law | Lone Tree
More than 75% of the attorneys are female, and the firm is structured to encourage women to grow through the ranks. Griffiths Law compensates all attorney employees based on objective performance metrics, which removes any opportunity for gender inequality in compensation. Non-lawyer employees are also compensated in tiers, regardless of gender, based on experience and work production.
Griffiths Law offers The Pathfinders Program, which pairs mentors with aspiring professionals such as paralegals, and provides tuition assistance if they decide to attend law school. The firm commits to the Pro Bono Pledge with the Colorado Supreme Court, providing an average of 50 hours per year of reduced or free legal services to the underserved. Griffiths Law is also actively involved in legal clinics throughout the year, offering individuals free mediation services and free assistance in finalizing their divorce and filling out paperwork.
In May 2023 Griffiths Law relocated its office to a fully owned building. This ambitious project took tremendous overseeing of everything from its conception, design and financing to the extensive demolition and remodeling work.
